Can the main body of an Anthurium plant be divided?

Dear Veronica,
Anthuriums often have up off-shoots that can be divided by removing the plant out of its pot and separating these offshoots and planting them in separate pots. The plant can be divided as long as these off-shoots have enough root mass. The off-shoot should have enough roots to ensure its survival.Split the off-shoot from the mother plant by cutting it with a sharp clean, knife dipped in some antiseptic solution, like Dettol or household bleach, which has been diluted with water, to avoid infecting the plant with soil-organisms.I hope this has helped.
